WASD / arrow keys

Waddle. You take a moment to get moving, and longer to stop.

Hold E + direction (or left mouse)

Grab a wall and haul yourself up. Release to let go. Get onto a ledge before your stamina runs out! Stand still to catch your breath.

Ropes and cargo nets

Hold E to grab. On ropes, W/S moves along the rope. On nets, W/S climbs and A/D moves sideways. Release E to let go. Stop on the little platforms to breathe.

Space

A deeply unimpressive hop. Costs 12 stamina. Unlock The Second Helping in a hut to press jump again in the air for one extra jump (18 stamina). Land to recharge it. Each of its 20 ranks improves the second jump height.

Coins & shaman huts

Rare coins stay collected after death. T talks to the sleeping shaman in a hut, every eight chunks. Save your climb there for free, or buy 20 ranks each of stamina, jump, fart-float, movement speed, and double jump. Prices rise from 2 to 6 coins per rank.

Hold Shift / GAS

Unlock fart-float in the hut first. Hold while falling to slow your descent. Gas is limited and refills on solid ground. Optional purple routes have recommended upgrade ranks and bonus coins.

F / make a sign

Collect floating wood and glue. One of each makes a message for the next rat.

Escape / P

Pause. Long falls kill. You return to your saved hut, or the bottom if you have not saved.

200 obstacle variants unlock across five tiers. Follow the arrows: some sections travel sideways or down before heading up. Everyone climbs the same course. The first rat to reach a section gets discovery credit. The latest 24 messages and 16 memorials remain in each section.

Your climb restarts at the bottom. Coins, upgrade ranks, and your saved hut are kept. This starts a climb from the bottom; your next normal restart can still use the saved hut.

20 ranks per skill. Coins and upgrades survive falls, restarts, and return visits with this identity. Float and double jump unlock with their first purchase.
