Remixing

Remixing copies a Bool’s files into a brand-new project you own, so you can
take it in a different direction without touching the original.

Remix a Bool

Click Remix in the workspace header (next to Publish). This opens a
dialog that creates a copy of the current project and takes you straight into
it.

* If you own the Bool, you’ll see a Copy data option — turn it on to also
copy the actual rows in your database tables, not just the schema. Leave it
off to start with the same tables but no data.

* If you don’t own the Bool (for example, remixing someone else’s shared
project), only the schema copies — never their data.

A remixed Bool starts with an empty chat and a “fresh start” note — the files
came with you, but the conversation that built them didn’t. From there, keep
building the same way you would any other Bool: see
Building your app .

Starting from a template

Templates use the same remix flow under a different label: browse templates
from the home page or /templates , and click Use this template to remix
one into a new project of your own.
