NXDATA-3 is a highly energy-efficient, purpose-built data center that will provide fully specialized technical space in a single-storey building.
The facility will be located in the North of Bucharest, approximately 8 km away from the DC NXDATA-1 & NXDATA-2 cluster.
Positioned close to Bucharest Ring Road (DNCB), NXDATA-3 (NX-3/BUH3) has a total electrical capacity of 5MW , out of which 3MW is dedicated to customers’ IT&C equipment, on a technical space of 2,000 square meters (21,500 square feet). It is organized in 4 data halls , each one customizable to customers’ specific requirements.

NXDATA-3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

BUILDING

* 5,500 square meters of total building space, out of which 2,000 square meters of white space split to 4 separated data halls of 500 square meters each (5,380 square feet)

* Seismic base isolation system for the data halls floor

* Secure managed loading dock

* Data center floor load of 20kN per square meter

* Customer cages and custom-built dedicated suites

* Working space, customer staging and storage room area, cafeteria

POWER

* 3MW of IT power across 2,000 square meters of world-class technical space

* Standard 750kW (up to 1MW) of IT load per data hall

* Dual 20kV MV power feeds

* All IT power is metered and charged per usage with dedicated meters

* N+N power supply solutions dedicated to each hall

* Minimum N+N UPS with 10-minute battery back-up as standard configuration

* Fully rated N+N back-up generators with 24-hour fuel autonomy at full load and continuous operating mode available

* Fuel sourcing agreements to ensure timely refueling

Scalable air-cooled chillers with free cooling capability

* Highly efficient FAN WALL cooling architecture

* PUE with a design value of approximately 1.3

COOLING

* N+1 free-cooling chillers

* Cooling infrastructure is individually managed and connected to BMS

* Option for racks with Direct-to-Chip Liquid Cooling Technology with maximum 50kW IT load/rack

PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE / STRUCTURAL DESIGN & SEISMIC RESILIENCE

NXDATA-3 data center has been deliberately engineered and classified under Importance Category II in accordance with Romanian construction quality regulations (HGR 766/1997 and Order 31/N/1995), reflecting a higher-importance structural design approach appropriate for critical infrastructure.
Rather than designing to conventional industrial minimum, NXDATA-3 incorporates enhanced engineering margins appropriate for mission-critical digital infrastructure, particularly in a seismic region.
This resilience philosophy extends beyond the structure itself into a block-redundant architecture, where independently resilient data halls are supported by dedicated N+N power and N+1 cooling systems, reducing common-mode failure exposure through fault containment by design.
At NXDATA-3, resilience is not treated as an equipment feature, it is embedded as a building principle.
