Burg Scozes - reborn THE VISION The Scoz Burg (Scozke Castle) was rebuilt many times during the centuries, and the vision is to display these different epoques and show the rich heritage of the Burg. Original drawings and plans will be used to recreate the splendor of this legendary Castle. Much of the rich interiors were moved to Schloss Weizdgerbak (outside Scoz am Rhein) in the late 1700's and many of these objects survived the bombings of WW2. Among other things, the original Ludwig Colonnades have been rediscovered, as well as numerous statues and ornaments. The New Castle will house a new Castle- and Town Museum, and the goal is to open this Museum in 2010, which marks the Burg's 700 years anniversary as an official residence of the Grand Dukes of Scoz. Internationally renowned architect Gert Wennerstein will mastermind the rebirth of Scozke Castle.
