Meters Pay stations and meters are conveniently located throughout campus. Pay Stations Conveniently located at the entrances of campus and in major parking lots. Visiting the Campus Visiting the campus shouldn't be frustrating. We are here to help. Commuting to Campus With limited parking on campus and the many alternatives to driving alone, it is not necessary to bring a car to Cal Poly. Local transit is safe and reliable and best of all it's FREE for staff and students! Google Transit Trip Planner Airport Information about the SLO County Regional Airport and transportation options. Bicycles There are over 6,500 bike rack spaces and 254 secure bike lockers available on campus. Employee Vanpool Cal Poly currently has 9 employee vanpools in operation, with over 115 vanpool riders. Bus Service Affordable. Convenient. Less stressful. Local and regional transit to get you throughout the city. Zipcar 9 Zipcars are at convenient locations throughout campus and are available to rent by the hour or day. Electrical Vehicle Charging Charging stations are located on campus in the Grand Avenue Parking Structure as well as the parking lot across from the Kennedy Library. * A&F Home * Transportation & Parking Services * Maritime Academy * Current: Visitor and Guest Permits Visitor and Guest Permits Visitors, vendors, contractors, shoreline users, and anyone without a current Cal Poly Maritime Academy permit can purchase a daily, hourly, or weekend permit from pay station machines on campus. Pay Station Locations and Payment Pay stations are located in Lots B, D, J, L, M, and O and operate 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Machines accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express only . Cash is not accepted. Rates Duration Rate Two hours $5 Four hours $7 Daily (to 7:00 a.m. next day) $10 Evening (4:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. next day)* $5 Weekend (Sat 4:45 p.m. to Mon 7:00 a.m.)* $10 Weekend (Fri 4:45 p.m. to Mon 7:00 a.m.)* $20 *Available for purchase beginning at 4:45 p.m. Where Pay Station Permits Are Valid * Lots B, D, E, G, I, J, L, M, and O — excluding restricted spaces * Disabled spaces in any lot (must also display a valid DMV disabled placard or plate) How to Display the Permit Place the permit print-side up on the dash so purchase and expiration information are visible through the windshield. Do not place in a tinted area of the windshield or block the vehicle VIN. For motorcycles, attach or tape the permit to the rear fender or front fork. Temporary Permits from Campus Offices * Administration Office Employees with valid permits may request a single-day permit from the Administration Building receptionist if they have forgotten their permit. Single-day permits should not be requested for more than three consecutive days. Guests on brief official campus business may request a complimentary guest permit during normal business hours. These permits are valid for up to two hours and generally exclude guests who are expected to pay (vendors, consultants, speakers, students) or those making multiple visits. * Admissions Office Hourly permits are issued by Admissions for tours or event parking. These permits are valid only on the date(s) and in the lot(s) indicated. * Athletics Department Permits are issued by the Athletics Department for officials. Valid permits are required in the appropriate lot and parking space.
