Cal Poly Pre-Award Offices Services: Provides information, guidance, and services to Cal Poly faculty, administrators, and senior staff engaged in extramurally-funded research, curriculum development, and community service projects. Including: * Identifying sources of funding * Counseling on the preparation of competitive proposal narratives * Assisting in the logistics of large-scale interdisciplinary proposals * Developing budget * Preparing required sponsor forms and assurances * Liaising with the for human subjects, animal subjects, conflict of interest, and safety committees * Identifying intellectual property issues * Obtaining institutional review and approvals for proposals * Submitting proposals Represents the University to sponsors in the preparation, delivery and revision of proposals for funding. Including: * Identifying and interpreting sponsor guidelines and regulations * Revising awards Coordinates with academic departments, colleges, centers and Cal Poly Partners.
