She is a first-generation, and low-income college student that earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography and Media at California Institute of the Arts. Her passion for education and student support stems from her own experiences and challenges navigating higher education. Ana has over 10 years working experience in arts education, administration and student support. Most recently, as a Site and Outreach Coordinator at Ryman Arts, she supported a program, community outreach and young artists in their pursuit of a higher art education. In her free time, Ana enjoys baking, walking her dog at the beach and camping trips with her partner. Everardo Vences he/him/his Program Coordinator  Focus: Years 3+ & Transfer Scholars & Experience [email protected] (805) 756-5123   A native of the Central Coast, Everardo is a first-generation college graduate that double majored in Political Science and Psychology from San Diego State University. Previously, Everardo worked in Cuesta College for six years with the Continuing Education Department. There he helped plan and coordinate various programs under the continuing education umbrella that allowed students continue their education. As a coordinator Everardo hopes to continue his work in helping students and reduce barriers that limit their success. When not working, Everardo enjoys traveling to different countries and trying new pizza places. Trisha Hongcharti any/all pronouns Program Coordinator Focus: Year 1 Scholars & Experience [email protected] (805) 756-5198   Trisha is a transplant from Virginia, social justice advocate, world traveler, and cheese lover. While earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia, Trisha worked at the career center and learned about the field of student affairs. After earning their BA in Spanish and Foreign Affairs, Trisha worked for the University of Virginia Darden School of Business for 3 years as a global programs coordinator. They then earned their master's degree in student affairs at the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to coming to Cal Poly, Trisha worked as an educational adviser for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, a scholarship organization that supports high-achieving students with financial need. Ariana Sariñana  she/her(s) Administrative Coordinator [email protected] (805) 756-5136   In her role as Administrative Coordinator, Ariana supports the day-to-day operations of the Cal Poly Scholars program which includes but is not limited to budget support, department head and staff support, student assistant hiring and scheduling, student payroll, and office management. Prior to Cal Poly, Ariana worked in the insurance industry as a licensed California Insurance Producer for over 8 years. Ariana is a first-generation, low-income and DACA recipient who has earned two Associate Degrees from Allan Hancock College, A Bachelor's in Book Arts from UC Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Higher Education Counseling & Student Affairs at Cal Poly.  A cheese-loving adventure seeker who enjoys solo travel and live music, Ariana is a self-proclaimed national park geek who loves spending time outdoors. She can often be found on a dirt trail hiking with her dog, a red-merle Australian Shepherd named Stella.
