Digital Communications
The communications apparatus at Cal Poly has many different arms. Digital communications refers to our strategy around emails and newsletters to internal and external audiences, social media as a tool of communication and our various web responsibilities.
Email and Newsletters
We work closely with units across campus to help develop large scale, effective and measurable communication plans to reach large external audiences, such as prospective students. We have also put together resources to help you craft effective and data-driven email communication strategies .
Social Media
Social media is a great tool to help meet our audience where they are online. But drafting a successful social media strategy, especially as part of a larger institution, can be a challenge. We manage the main Cal Poly social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and other apps and have established tips and tools to help areas across campus with their own strategies.
Web
Our team manages the gateway pages of the main Cal Poly website, as well as several other subsidiary sites including Cal Poly News, Cal Poly Events, Admissions, Financial Aid, and more. We also advise campus on web communications , including strategy, content, search engine optimization, user experience, analytics and more.
